Belfast City Comics
Creator owned publications from Norn Iron.
'Bout uzz!
Belfast City Comics is new, small... you could say we're a grower more than a shower but we're dedicated to taking comic book themes and genres by the scruff and draggin' 'em through the streets of Norn Iron to deliver a fresh voice in an ever-growing, constantly innovating medium.
BCC is now accepting comic book submissions from writers & artists for the forthcoming publication year April 2017 – March 2018.

BCC only publishes creator-owned material. We do not contract creators; we’re only interested in publishing original content for which you would retain all rights. Please do not submit any work that utilizes already-existing characters.

We don’t pay page rates.  You’re not being contracted to produce a comic; BCC is the distributor of your book. BCC takes a small flat fee off the books published and it will be the responsibility of the creators to determine the division of the remaining pay between their creative team members.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

A one-to-two page synopsis of the project including all major plot points. Please keep this to one arc as a breakdown to the first 100 issues is more ambition than most people are willing to read.

Character bible for the main players. If you’re unsure what this is check online for some good examples; typically “Name”, “Age”, “A quick line to describe their essence” then a four-six line breakdown of their history, motivations, wishes and/or dreams.

Artwork.Whether it be the first issue in the entirety or character designs let us see the style of your comic.Including a cover is a massive help, as it allows us to gauge the target audience you see your comic reaching.

Email submissions only.Send them to belfastcitycomics@gmail.com

Reference BCC-SUB in the subject line along with the name of your book.
